Jan Hendrik Weken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Gonsalve, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Domingos Gonsalve kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jan Hendrik Weken. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Racing Club's Domingos Gonsalve slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Hendrik Weken. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 27th minute, Racing Club's Domingos Gonsalve ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan Hendrik Weken. Jan Hendrik Weken yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. A sloppy throw-in by Ted Kamps in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Racing Club's Lorenzo Raymond. Gonzalo Tebaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joeri Buys in the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Albertus FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ted Kamps hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Wilfredo Gilabert got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gonzalo Tebaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joeri Buys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Racing Club's Jacobo Meder was substituted for Americo Senio. The wind increased when Silvestre Mundo made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Albertus FC defense, Francisco Bieito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Hendrik Weken. The Albertus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Hendrik Weken should have stopped the shot. After 73 minutes of play, Racing Club's Celedonio Endira made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Hendrik Weken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgard Schiphouwer was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Albertus FC! The referee gave Racing Club a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Celedonio Endira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Albertus FC's Jan Hendrik Weken. 7-1. In the 84th minute, Albertus FC's Joeri Buys dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-2. If Hubert Ottens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Jan Knops was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albertus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club the free kick. In the 93rd minute of the match Lorenzo Raymond sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Hendrik Weken skillfully saved the ball. Jan Hendrik Weken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Bieito in the 95th minute of the match. Gonzalo Tebaldo made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Christijan van Asseldonk sent off a good shot on target.

Albertus FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
