Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Maarten Colen made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Maurits Ruben came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Croatia's Ilija Skugor got control of the ball when Gilbert Fleur tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maarten Colen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maarten Colen in the 9th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Mathijs de Zee took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ilija Skugor to make any attempt to save it. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarten Colen in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilbert Fleur got free with Ilija Skugor in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Toni Mauzer hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilbert Fleur. Mathijs de Zee took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Ricky Mol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Croatia's Toni Mauzer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dean Verbruggen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The supporters of Croatia booed when MVV Maastricht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijs de Zee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toni Mauzer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dean Verbruggen having to make a save. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by MVV Maastricht's Maarten Colen. But to his dismay, Maarten Colen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 44 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Neven Culina. Ilija Skugor was a little too slow when Mathijs de Zee got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 5-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurits Ruben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dean Verbruggen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Bosak in the 54th minute of the match. Mathijs de Zee scored 6-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maarten Colen in the 63rd minute of play. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Fleur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, MVV Maastricht's goal looked a bit too open when Damir Pongrac came free, but Dean Verbruggen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes, Eduard Kostelac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croatia and the MVV Maastricht players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maarten Colen, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Maurits Ruben cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Ilija Skugor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th minute MVV Maastricht were awarded a corner. Maurits Ruben went to the cornerflag to take it. Benjamin Domazet kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damir Pongrac in the 83rd minute of play forced MVV Maastricht's goalkeeper Dean Verbruggen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-1. When the referee ended the match the MVV Maastricht players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
