Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Afraga in the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Åhman came free, but Zenon Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugur Bejenaru in the 12th minute of the match. Karol Tomiczek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Renato Dionísio having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Tomiczek in the 20th minute of play forced Ekedalen SK's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Nyström scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zenon Pleban, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zenon Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Åhman in the 26th minute of play. Paulo Renato Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Podwojski, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Leszek Podwojski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Paulo Renato Dionísio made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Qiu Yang put in a rough tackle. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Legia Warszawa! In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Ekedalen SK. Anders Christiansen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zenon Pleban. 0-2. Karol Tomiczek was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Legia Warszawa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half Ekedalen SK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karol Tomiczek made a kick off. Egil Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ekedalen SK's Paulo Renato Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gu Hong Ang in the 55th minute of play. Anders Christiansen's late challenge caught a Legia Warszawa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anders Christiansen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Leszek Podwojski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the game, Karol Tomiczek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legia Warszawa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ekedalen SK the free kick. Karol Tomiczek hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Mugur Bejenaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Bejenaru did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Zenon Pleban 75 minutes into the match. Ekedalen SK's Paulo Renato Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Lindberg in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Ekedalen SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Karol Tomiczek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Axel Lindberg got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Egil Åhman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ekedalen SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
