Fabrício Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Podwojski in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Inter de Munique got a freekick which was hit by Jailson da Silva. 15 minutes into the match, Inter de Munique's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Tomiczek came free, but Fabrício Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Leszek Podwojski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 played minutes Inter de Munique got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Trindade. Legia Warszawa were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Inter de Munique's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Qiu Yang took the corner. Leszek Podwojski scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabrício Simões, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karol Tomiczek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Lemiesz in the 33rd minute of play. Karol Tomiczek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Simões having to interfere. Jailson da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jailson da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Inter de Munique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson da Silva to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renaud Verdonckt. Karol Tomiczek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Bernard Lemiesz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legia Warszawa's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Lemiesz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrício Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes of play Inter de Munique's Jailson da Silva was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Leszek Podwojski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fabrício Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilmar Eger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Leszek Podwojski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrício Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nilmar Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zenon Pleban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Ksawery Cichowski got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Nilmar Eger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zenon Pleban was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Lucian Mihăilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zenon Pleban didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nilmar Eger went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Bernard Lemiesz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renaud Verdonckt in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Legia Warszawa's Karol Tomiczek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabrício Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Ksawery Cichowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Simões having to interfere. Karol Tomiczek struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Fabrício Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legia Warszawa. Inter de Munique's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Leszek Podwojski scored to the left of an out of position Fabrício Simões, making the score, 2-4. 84 minutes into the match, Leszek Podwojski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabrício Simões, 2-5. Fabrício Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Lindberg in the 91st minute of the match. If Renaud Verdonckt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Inter de Munique fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Legia Warszawa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
