The audience thought a goal was coming when Damazy Radzyminski got free with Chris Draxl in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alexandros Matsinopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Damazy Radzyminski managed to get in a good position for a shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandros Matsinopoulos was the one to do the kick off. The SK Fenerbahce Wien fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 85th minute Eike Hörtnagel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waud De Geyter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
