Jacek Matuch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Müller in the 18th minute of play. Silvestre Loi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jess Carnduff made a huge save. In the 29th minute of the match SV Bad Harzburg got a corner. Alemannia Aachen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jurek Ohrem ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jurek Ohrem got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jess Carnduff quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 32nd minute Jurek Ohrem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute Silvestre Loi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Valter Xabat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacek Matuch came out of the goal and Valter Xabat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jess Carnduff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurek Ohrem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jess Carnduff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurek Ohrem, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Horst Hussen came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 50th minute, Silvestre Loi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jess Carnduff was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 56th match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Éthan Pichard to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Müllers short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Jacek Matuch to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jess Carnduff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurek Ohrem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacek Matuch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valter Xabat's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Manfred Kottsieper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacek Matuch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alemannia Aachen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Loi in the 78th minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Jess Carnduff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch got control of the ball when Thomas Müller tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacek Matuch stood somewhat misplaced when Thomas Müller came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 86 minute. Takeshi Bieberstein kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
