KaoS Futbol Club's Jacob Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Albuquerque in the 20th minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Pat Rice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jacob Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Gilen in the 39th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierluigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Martins Palermo sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Jacob Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Amancio Semeno kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jacob Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emiliano Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Fecha Libre's Emiliano Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Fecha Libre from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Igor Lebas could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Emiliano Martínez however easily saved by the left post. The KaoS Futbol Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KaoS Futbol Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
