The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Portugal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Emiliano Cordero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The shot was a little too simple and Wilson Amorim could save by the left post. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Sebastián Torrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 23rd minute of play. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gualterio Jaunti, made in the 24th minute of the game. Julien Million sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Gualterio Jaunti threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
