Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Uğuralp Vasfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 7th minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Uğuralp Vasfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uğuralp Vasfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Uğuralp Vasfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Uğuralp Vasfi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Collen came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Collen in the 21st minute of play. KOO Tigers's Urbano Fidencio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kees Mooiweer, made in the 30th minute of the game. Kees Mooiweer made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by KOO Tigers's Emin Bayram. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute of the match KOO Tigers got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mickey Rothwell ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on KOO Tigers's corner Mickey Rothwell fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. Uğuralp Vasfi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after KOO Tigers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Uğuralp Vasfi quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Meesters in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uğuralp Vasfi saved KOO Tigers from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

KOO Tigers's Emin Bayram managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kees Mooiweer in the 55 minute of the game. Robert Collen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. KOO Tigers's attentive Emin Bayram managed to snatch the ball when Kees Mooiweer made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Uğuralp Vasfi made a huge save. KOO Tigers's Kudret Şükrü was substituted for Emin Bayram. KOO Tigers's Selçuk Talayman was substituted for Mickey Rothwell. After 68 minutes, Kudret Şükrü mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KOO Tigers and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Kudret Şükrü hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KOO Tigers made a substitution. Xiao Yu Chao replaced Robert Collen. Kudret Şükrü kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 72nd minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Uğuralp Vasfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KOO Tigers were furious when Azmi Bilkan was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 75th minute, one of KOO Tigers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KOO Tigers. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Uğuralp Vasfi. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xiao Yu Chao in the 86th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Xiao Yu Chao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Xiao Yu Chao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The KOO Tigers players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
