Cristian Ted could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After having played for 44 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Fedele Evangelista dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn, 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. Ciro Aversano kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Attilio Silveri made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute Atletico Benevento were awarded a corner. 蔡西誉 went to the cornerflag to take it. 61 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Sciascia came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Atletico Benevento's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Attilio Silveri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Benevento's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attilio Silveri came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Germany eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
