Eduardo Mattin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Lopes. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Lauro Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Oxel in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Oxel in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauro Varela saved Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting behind. Agnaldo Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Lauro Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Oxel in the 25th minute of play. Agnaldo Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Eduardo Mattin made a huge save. Eduardo Mattin made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Diego Cerezo sent off a good shot on target. DREAM TEAM WORLD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Paulo Renato Souza scored to the left of an out of position Eduardo Mattin, making the score, 1-0. In the 37th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Diego Cerezo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduardo Mattin. Eduardo Mattin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With his leg Eduardo Mattin managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Agnaldo Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Eduardo Mattin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Moises Urtsin made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Pablo Ogazón during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fausto Arias struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Lauro Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DREAM TEAM WORLD. After 65 minutes, Agnaldo Vargas made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Eduardo Mattin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Arias in the 72nd minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Lauro Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telmo Barbosa during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Mattin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Nova Iguaçu MZFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DREAM TEAM WORLD:s goal. Diego Cerezo's late challenge caught a DREAM TEAM WORLD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Cerezo helped the player get up and apologised. Fausto Arias hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
