Alzaga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 23rd match minute, Alzaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Franco to maneuver through the defense. When Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Leon Goretzka made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Leon Goretzka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alzaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Goretzka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute Leon Goretzka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Goretzka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th match minute, Alzaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Bautista to maneuver through the defense. Alzaga FC's Robert Rutkowski was substituted for Leon Goretzka. After 71 played minutes Alzaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Bautista. Arcadio Buendia made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arcadio Buendia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Robert Rutkowski notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robert Rutkowski took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Ur in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Ur in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Pablo Ur put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arcadio Buendia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaaf Groeneveldt during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew the final whistle, Alzaga FC could leave the field as winners, despite Netherlands having more of the ball for most of the match.
