Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Artaç Hendekli made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kenneth Knudsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth Knudsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Kenneth Knudsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. The supporters of AEK FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, AEK FC's Artaç Hendekli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Kenneth Knudsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Malte Schiele kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Erland Slyngstad struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK FC. AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Knudsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes AEK FC got a freekick which was hit by Sindre Westerlund. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steve Triganza hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Atle Solvang made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Germany's Linus Schwerner. Atle Solvang's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atle Solvang helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Atle Solvang hit a great ball. AEK FC's Artaç Hendekli was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Kenneth Knudsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 53rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Dreifuss during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. After having played for 61 minutes, Erland Slyngstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erland Slyngstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 90 played minutes, AEK FC's 任远兴 shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AEK FC reached it. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Triganza in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Kenneth Knudsen in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AEK FC had won after a very even match.
