Edward Buczko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Zhuo Xuan Yu made a huge save. Tomasz Sobania received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zhuo Xuan Yu came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomasz Sobania slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Chen Feng Jian hit a great ball. Inter de Chillán's Zhuo Xuan Yu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Chillán from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soczewki Gliwice's goalkeeper Wincenty Puchlik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Inter de Chillán's Zhuo Xuan Yu got control of the ball when Tomasz Sobania tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomasz Sobania got free with Zhuo Xuan Yu in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wincenty Puchlik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grzegorz Bierfass, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, Bogumil Babicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomasz Sobania came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Soczewki Gliwice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomasz Sobania couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Buczko in the 53rd minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Zhuo Xuan Yu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Soczewki Gliwice's goal looked a bit too open when Grzegorz Bierfass came free, but Wincenty Puchlik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Jax to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Soczewki Gliwice's goalkeeper Wincenty Puchlik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rimas Ciparis. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Rimas Ciparis took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Wincenty Puchlik to make any attempt to save it. Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo was substituted for Grzegorz Bierfass. The audience was convinced that Tomasz Sobania's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zhuo Xuan Yu was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The score was 1-1 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

Eladio Araujo might have been able to make a better finish in the 107th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wincenty Puchlik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eladio Araujo ran back to his position shaking his head. Wincenty Puchlik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Araujo in the 112th minute of play. Edward Buczko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 113th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Inter de Chillán's Zhuo Xuan Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 120th minute of play. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when Soczewki Gliwice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 122 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szymon Szkaradek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aris Bonoris charged in rather forcefully in the 123rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aris Bonoris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inter de Chillán's Zhuo Xuan Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 129th minute of play. Wincenty Puchlik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Jax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wincenty Puchlik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Araujo in the 133rd minute of play. The game was still level after extra-time. The match had to be settled by penalties!

Zhuo Xuan Yu had in the 136thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomasz Sobania's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee gave Inter de Chillán a penalty, 138 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Clemente Jaen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Soczewki Gliwice's Wincenty Puchlik. 2-2. Zhuo Xuan Yu had in the 140thth minute some difficulties stopping Mercurio San Martín's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mercurio San Martín's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Wincenty Puchlik on his right side and into the goal. 141 minutes into the game it was 2-3. Soczewki Gliwice:s Zhuo Xuan Yu showed great skill when he stopped Tobías Izamit:s penalty. After 143 played minutes Tobías Izamit shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Soczewki Gliwice's Wincenty Puchlik to catch but Tobías Izamit was lucky. It became 3-4 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Zhuo Xuan Yu had in the 146thth minute some difficulties stopping Florencio Jax's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Inter de Chillán players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Soczewki Gliwice.
