Vicky Donda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kraig Fred scored 1-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicky Donda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vicky Donda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Iraunkor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Marcos Senesi in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Estudiantes de América's Maximo Dei. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 34th minute of play forced ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's goalkeeper Vicky Donda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Ruisko. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Santiago Gentiletti with Tord Söderqvist as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Estudiantes de América supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Estudiantes de América would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
