In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Tobias Elizardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdomiro de Godoi scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Elizardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tobias Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Romando Futebol Clube's Zenon Cupial got control of the ball when Martin Rito tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Martin Rito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarmiento de Resistencia's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Rito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeu Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Juninho Paulista kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tobias Elizardo. That made the score 1-3 in the 90 minute of play. Hector Sarmiento made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Romando Futebol Clube's Joélson de Mendonça. 96 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's Valdomiro de Godoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Elizardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Sarmiento de Resistencia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Romando Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
