The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Inácio Cosme made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by A.A. Cachila's Nelson Muntz. Jerônimo da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Terri Moco went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Kladogennis got free with Epifanio Gabrio in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the game, Nikos Kladogennis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Epifanio Gabrio. Nikos Kladogennis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 15 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goal looked a bit too open when Terri Moco came free, but Jerônimo da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atacan Rahim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Epifanio Gabrio threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Atacan Rahim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A.A. Cachila's Epifanio Gabrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Cachila from getting a goal against them. With his leg Epifanio Gabrio managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Elite™- FC Galácticos's Cosme Dighero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jerônimo da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terri Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Epifanio Gabrio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atacan Rahim's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Terri Moco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerônimo da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Atacan Rahim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elite™- FC Galácticos's supporters rose to their feet, but Atacan Rahim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Gabrio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Terri Moco to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as A.A. Cachila's Terri Moco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jerônimo da Cunha. That made the score 1-2 after 53 minutes of play. Nikos Kladogennis hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Epifanio Gabrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Paulo Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 62 minutes, Terri Moco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.A. Cachila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terri Moco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, A.A. Cachila's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Kladogennis came free, but Epifanio Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.A. Cachila's Epifanio Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atacan Rahim in the 68th minute of play. Décio Rola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Gabrio having to interfere.
