To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germany were furious when Sven Krakouer was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lince Negro in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Anderbye FC's Fabiano Cordeiro got a free kick in the 98th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Anderbye FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
