In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hermínio de Amaral was slow to take the kick. During this time The Swedish Nightmare's players had a chance to rest. The corner led The Swedish Nightmare's Hermínio de Amaral to fire away a dangerous shot which Casper Claes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Belgium fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by The Swedish Nightmare's Hjalmar Backlund. But to his dismay, Hjalmar Backlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The Swedish Nightmare were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hermínio de Amaral took the corner. The corner led The Swedish Nightmare's Hermínio de Amaral to fire away a dangerous shot which Casper Claes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edgar Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Hjalmar Backlund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Casper Claes, 2-1. In the 41st minute, Hjalmar Backlund made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Hjalmar Backlund struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Casper Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Swedish Nightmare. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hjalmar Backlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes of play, The Swedish Nightmare's Hjalmar Backlund made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casper Claes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, Hjalmar Backlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hjalmar Backlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hjalmar Backlund's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, The Swedish Nightmare's goalkeeper Edgar Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Edgar Åström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. The Swedish Nightmare's Jörgen Linquist was substituted for Valdemar Ström. In the 88th minute, Belgium's Yves Dervaux ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgar Åström. Edgar Åström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-3. In the 92nd play minute Edward Vanderstraeten came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edgar Åström. 5-4.
