It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eugeniusz Poniewaz kicked off to start the match. When Eugeniusz Poniewaz came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Ajax Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugeniusz Poniewaz couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Ajax Poland's Eugeniusz Poniewaz. But to his dismay, Eugeniusz Poniewaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 8th minute. Eugeniusz Poniewaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ajax Poland's goalkeeper Korneliusz Rasimowicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 12 minutes Ajax Poland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frank Sachs who took care of the corner kick. Korneliusz Rasimowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Eugeniusz Poniewaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After having played for 26 minutes, Eugeniusz Poniewaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajax Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugeniusz Poniewaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Eugeniusz Poniewaz sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Rasimowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ajax Poland's Eugeniusz Poniewaz. But to his dismay, Eugeniusz Poniewaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Eugeniusz Poniewaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Eugeniusz Poniewaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Eugeniusz Poniewaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax Poland's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugeniusz Poniewaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Ajax Poland's Eugeniusz Poniewaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eugeniusz Poniewaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Korneliusz Rasimowicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 54th minute. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 55th minute. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Eugeniusz Poniewaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugeniusz Poniewaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Eugeniusz Poniewaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 64th minute of the match. In the 67thth minute of the game Eugeniusz Poniewaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Eugeniusz Poniewaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugeniusz Poniewaz went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Linus Schwerner made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ajax Poland's Ali Galip Giyas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 77th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 82nd minute of play. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugeniusz Poniewaz went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 93rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ajax Poland had played much better football throughout.
