With an all-out effort, OldHighburyInvincibles's Vavrinec Holub threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Feliks Sikola, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aloísio Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Vavrinec Holub made a huge save. OldHighburyInvincibles's Armando Larizza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Dostal in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, David Rusil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Armando Larizza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Alan Rezek notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of OldHighburyInvincibles's Armando Larizza. Armando Larizza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to OldHighburyInvincibles getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Feliks Sikola hit a great ball. Armando Larizza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Jilek in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Czech Republic defense, Feliks Sikola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vavrinec Holub. The Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vavrinec Holub should have stopped the shot. OldHighburyInvincibles's Armando Fabiani got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Feliks Sikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lima in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aloísio Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute of the match OldHighburyInvincibles got a corner. Czech Republic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ian Stam ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 52nd minute, Fernandinho Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The OldHighburyInvincibles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. 71 minutes into the game, OldHighburyInvincibles's Aloísio Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. In the 75th minute, Czech Republic's Denis Dostal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-3. The OldHighburyInvincibles fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when OldHighburyInvincibles's Aloísio Lima looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aloísio Lima struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Vavrinec Holub didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OldHighburyInvincibles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Trancoso in the 83rd minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. OldHighburyInvincibles fully deserved thier win.
