All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Emrys Hannah might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjell Sjöö. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emrys Hannah ran back to his position shaking his head. Curiphila Eagles's Kjell Sjöö proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Curiphila Eagles from getting a goal against them. In the 63rdth minute of the game Lúcio Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Onyx's Zdzislaw Domarecki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Onyx's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Vihonský came free, but Zdzislaw Domarecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zdzislaw Domarecki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 73 minutes, Erik Vihonský managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curiphila Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Vihonský was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Erik Vihonský notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Onyx's Zdzislaw Domarecki.
