Batıkan Muhsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thad Castle in the 16th minute of the match. Nychyporivka Ψ's Dan Junilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilla Açıkalın in the 21st minute of play. When Thad Castle fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nychyporivka Ψ's protests and gave Thad Castle a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when Nychyporivka Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thad Castle didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Agamenón do Nascimento hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Nychyporivka Ψ's Thad Castle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Batıkan Muhsin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Duncan Hatfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Nychyporivka Ψ's Ziemowit Jaraczeski got a free kick in the 44th minute. Atilla Açıkalın might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Junilă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atilla Açıkalın ran back to his position shaking his head. Dan Junilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Açıkalın, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atilla Açıkalın was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Atilla Açıkalın put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Dan Junilă. With a little luck, Nychyporivka Ψ's Dan Junilă got control of the ball when Kurtuluş Senih tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vladislav Trúpchev kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Oğuzalp Yetiş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Oğuzalp Yetiş hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes, Nychyporivka Ψ's Hasan Özpolat shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nychyporivka Ψ reached it. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC made a substitution. Ulf Bokelund replaced Kurtuluş Senih. 82 minutes into the match, Atilla Açıkalın had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dan Junilă. Nychyporivka Ψ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilla Açıkalın was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC made a substitution. Man Tas replaced Atilla Açıkalın. Dan Junilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Man Tas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Man Tas in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nychyporivka Ψ's goalie prevented a goal. Dan Junilă came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Man Tas. But to his dismay, Man Tas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
