The referee ignored Curiphila Eagles's protests and gave Douglas Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LeicestersKickers booed when Curiphila Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kjell Sjöö came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by LeicestersKickers's Per-Åke Vedholm. But to his dismay, Per-Åke Vedholm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th match minute, LeicestersKickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, LeicestersKickers's Macho Mann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kjell Sjöö made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Janne Oblak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Vihonský in the 19th minute of the match. Vince Van Hooveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Janne Oblak made a huge save. A collision led to Curiphila Eagles getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. 狄珂益 hit a great ball. Janne Oblak made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Piearres Holgado sent off a good shot on target. When LeicestersKickers's John Kellbom in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curiphila Eagles's goalie prevented a goal. With an all-out effort, Curiphila Eagles's Janne Oblak threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Breno Simões, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 37 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's Breno Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janne Oblak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Breno Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Oblak having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Vihonský in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janne Oblak saved LeicestersKickers from getting behind. John Kellbom's late challenge caught a Curiphila Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Kellbom helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, LeicestersKickers's John Kellbom got a free kick in the 55th minute. Per-Åke Vedholm kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. John Kellbom got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 63rd minute Erik Vihonský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janne Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Simões in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Gustavo Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Curiphila Eagles made a substitution. Nico Cunha replaced 尤奕景. After a rather tough play, Curiphila Eagles's Gustavo Reis got a free kick in the 66th minute. Janne Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Vihonský, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Curiphila Eagles's Kjell Sjöö got control of the ball when Kiki Monginsidi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curiphila Eagles's Waldir de Amaral was substituted for Cristian Vides. LeicestersKickers played a much better game than Curiphila Eagles and deserved their victory. The Curiphila Eagles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
