If Korneliusz Milan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teofil Rzegotka to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zembrzus SA's goalkeeper Wieslaw Resel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Teofil Rzegotka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Śląsk Katowice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zembrzus SA the free kick. In the 96th match minute, Śląsk Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Matuch to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Śląsk Katowice walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
