Michael Götze made in the 3rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Killian Fischer immediately put the ball in play. A throw-in in the 7th minute of the game was made by Michael Götze with Fabian Magath as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 11 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Valadares came free, but Ovidio Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Galo do Japi got a corner. PoWer SC 2K5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aldair Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, PoWer SC 2K5's Killian Fischer got a free kick in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Götze during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michael Götze kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Chico Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chico Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ovidio Ritchie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Götze kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Chico Valadares might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidio Ritchie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chico Valadares ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the game, Manuel Klose cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ronaldo Giovanelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 39 played minutes Galo do Japi got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Cefero. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Chico Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo do Japi's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Ritchie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Chico Valadares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Ritchie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Magath was the one to do the kick off. Michael Götze hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Ovidio Ritchie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico Valadares in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Chico Valadares could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Ovidio Ritchie however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Valadares in the 60th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Ovidio Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chico Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when PoWer SC 2K5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Götze didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Chico Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo do Japi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Magath in the 71st minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Michael Götze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidio Ritchie was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Chico Valadares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chico Valadares really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Klose in the 80th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernando Gomes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Galo do Japi! Galo do Japi:s Ronaldo Giovanelli showed great skill when he stopped Fabian Magath:s penalty. In the last second Ovidio Ritchie throw himself and got hold of the ball when Chico Valadares in the 88thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Chico Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ovidio Ritchie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Valadares in the 92nd minute of play. The PoWer SC 2K5 manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Galo do Japi to win.
