Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 11th minute Siricio Liotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 13th minute of play forced Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alcides Baros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Indiana Jones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. The throw-in from Abelardo Domenec in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Sostene Vitulli. 21 minutes in the game Venancio Sandaili did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jyrki Sillanpää. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Haritzeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Abelardo Domenec got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jyrki Sillanpää could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaccheo Andolina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Aguilera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 34th minute of play. Flavio Vittori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jyrki Sillanpää in the 35th minute. Jyrki Sillanpää made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 35thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Flavio Vittori would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. A collision led to Los Hijos de Doña Beija getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Moises Normando hit a great ball. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Porziano Marchitelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zaccheo Andolina made a kick off. When Alcides Baros came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Los Hijos de Doña Beija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alcides Baros couldn't finish the play. Higinio Aguilera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zaccheo Andolina went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Baros in the 61st minute of play. In the 68th minute, Reynaldo Samosir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Los Hijos de Doña Beija getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Reynaldo Samosir hit a great ball. Higinio Aguilera made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. Porziano Marchitelli struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Higinio Aguilera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. In the 86th minute, Porziano Marchitelli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Higinio Aguilera, passed just outside the right post. Higinio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Curto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fábio Rocha in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Brion in the 96th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Italy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
