Davie McWhirter hit a great ball. Sitthachat Jampeehom was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Gijsbert ter Kruimer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 77th minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Davie McWhirter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 95th minute of play. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
