Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Börje Lindsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Öfverman in the 6th minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Öfverman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers was a little too slow when Leonardo Melberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. Leonardo Melberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Dan Lundström came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dan Lundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Melberg. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. Leeds United FC's Börje Lindsten shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arnout Reekers but with some difficulty. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leeds United FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. 37 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Lindsten came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Melberg. Dan Lundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucjan Skorny lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Leeds United FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Dan Lundström had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Gijsbert ter Kruimer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Lundström. Dan Lundström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Dan Lundström in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dan Lundström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 59 minutes of play, Leeds United FC's Börje Lindsten made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 68 minutes Leeds United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Leeds United FC's Dan Lundström managed to reach the ball for a save. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Melberg in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Melberg in the 85th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Lundström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 86th minute of the match.
