An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play forced FC Shed End's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Hedkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes FC Shed End's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Talip Taşan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stig-Ove Hedkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 39th minute of play. Egbert Nijveldt made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by David Eikelkamp.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC Shed End's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Stig-Ove Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egon Lindgren hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stig-Ove Hedkvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, FC Shed End's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Stig-Ove Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, FC Shed End's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Stig-Ove Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustav Wållander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustav Wållander's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Ove Hedkvist came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Shed End.
