The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, KARAORMAN's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Iona Lightfoot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalibor Stefanovski got free with Fodor Daniel in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik got a free kick in the 6th minute. Guo Ling Zhou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Salazar in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute KARAORMAN were awarded a corner. Guo Ling Zhou went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on KARAORMAN's corner Xavier Salazar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. In the 14th minute Hegedus Henrik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iona Lightfoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iona Lightfoot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the last second Fodor Daniel throw himself and got hold of the ball when Xavier Salazar in the 17thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 21 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iona Lightfoot. KARAORMAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Karim Benzema came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the KARAORMAN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Benzema couldn't finish the play. KARAORMAN's Iona Lightfoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 27th minute of play. Iona Lightfoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to KARAORMAN getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Dalibor Stefanovski hit a great ball. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karim Benzema stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, KARAORMAN's goalkeeper Iona Lightfoot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balazs Lajos. In the 58thth minute of the game Xavier Salazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Iona Lightfoot managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 75th minute Xavier Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iona Lightfoot made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Balazs Lajos sent off a good shot on target. Iljo Trajanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Iona Lightfoot made a huge save. Hegedus Henrik struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Iona Lightfoot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Hegedus Henrik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iona Lightfoot having to interfere.
