The corner went over the outstretched arms of Germany's goalie and right to Twan Hesseling. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Germany's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Phoenix Soare hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Christijan Schreuder got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christijan Schreuder in the 37th minute. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Japke de Boer scored 2-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Twan Hesseling went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christijan Schreuder in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christijan Schreuder in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 minutes of play, Verwachting's Twan Hesseling made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Twan Hesseling took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Japke de Boer hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Verwachting from getting a goal against them. Twan Hesseling took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The supporters of Verwachting booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Schreuder in the 90th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Phoenix Soare shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
