After 8 played minutes Forest got a freekick which was hit by Dündar Aymaz. Lorenzo Kellogg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ornopata's Xan Descapa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Kellogg in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes in the game Karl-Michael Linberg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Xeromo Carballo. In the 22nd match minute, Ornopata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Michael Linberg to maneuver through the defense. Xan Descapa was a little too slow when Lorenzo Kellogg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 34thth minute of the game Lorenzo Kellogg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ornopata's Xan Descapa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Forest's Lorenzo Kellogg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xan Descapa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Urki Miras struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jeferson Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ornopata. After the first half Ornopata were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute Lorenzo Kellogg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xan Descapa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Joaquin Loredo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeferson Toledo. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ornopata would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
