Romeo Gaxan came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by São Wilson's Silvinho Moraes. But to his dismay, Silvinho Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 41 minutes into the game, Silvinho Moraes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Romeo Gaxan. After 54 played minutes São Wilson got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Antunes. After a defensive mix-up in São Wilson's zone, Eliseo Vidales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shi Feng Yun came out of the goal and Eliseo Vidales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeo Gaxan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörg Michael in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Giovanni Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Gaxan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eliseo Vidales's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shi Feng Yun was relentless in the 67th minute of the game.
