The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Atarratze Salantes put in a rough tackle. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C! In the 38th minute Estevez Matienzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Gaxan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Loredo came free, but Romeo Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Ornopata's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Vidales came free, but Xan Descapa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ornopata the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's Andoitz Flores got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ornopata's Wiktor Björnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Karl-Michael Linberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Gaxan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pipo Inzaghi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
