In the 3rd minute of the match, Alexandros Matsinopoulos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jeferson Toledo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of SK Fenerbahce Wien booed when Forest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Kellogg didn't get a good kick on the ball. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Chris Draxl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Kellogg in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Forest's goalkeeper Jeferson Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandros Matsinopoulos. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
