The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Lorenzo Kellogg made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. ALZELIT's Tarzan Baycan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Forest's Lorenzo Kellogg in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ALZELIT's goalie prevented a goal. Forest were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after ALZELIT's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adrianinho Massa took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Adrianinho Massa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tarzan Baycan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristóvão Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Forest booed when ALZELIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Orhan Tanay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tarzan Baycan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Kellogg in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the game Arif Erçetin made a throw-in which Ahmet Orhan Tanay played forward. 22 minutes into the game, Camacho Santiago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ALZELIT the free kick. After 22 played minutes Forest got a freekick which was hit by Camacho Santiago. Tomasz Iwaszko's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Jeferson Toledo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Forest booed when ALZELIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Iwaszko didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Forest's Lorenzo Kellogg in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ALZELIT's goalie prevented a goal. The ALZELIT players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Forest were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenzo Kellogg to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Didi Corrêa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tarzan Baycan, passed just outside the right post. Jonathan Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarzan Baycan having to interfere. Tarzan Baycan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Kellogg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarzan Baycan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Kellogg's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Lorenzo Kellogg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarzan Baycan having to interfere. Forest's Willian Secco was substituted for Jonathan Moreno. With his leg Tarzan Baycan managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Forest's Lorenzo Kellogg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the ALZELIT defense, Dündar Aymaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarzan Baycan. The ALZELIT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarzan Baycan should have stopped the shot. Forest made a substitution. Aírton de Senna replaced Raymond Devos. In the 84th match minute, Forest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dündar Aymaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Dündar Aymaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarzan Baycan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ALZELIT's Asım Çağili got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Kellogg in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tarzan Baycan saved ALZELIT from getting behind.
