Degerfors IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Congo Bongo the free kick. Christian Håkansson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Degerfors IF's Epifanio Ihazintu threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Åke Fors, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Epifanio Ihazintu stood somewhat misplaced when Åke Fors came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. Epifanio Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Fors in the 14th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Rudolfo. 18 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Fors came free, but Epifanio Ihazintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Lehior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Epifanio Ihazintu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Isak, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Degerfors IF's Zygmunt Filanowski suffered a sore thigh after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Evelio Iaki got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute Åke Fors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Ihazintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Fors in the 44th minute of play forced Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Epifanio Ihazintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Tiburcio Rudolfo got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Epifanio Ihazintu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Eliasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A nice corner shot did that Fredrik Isak got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Epifanio Ihazintu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Leonard Christoffersson hit a great ball. Åke Fors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Ihazintu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Tonete in the 64th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Sebastian Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Congo Bongo's Epifanio Ihazintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Isak in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Isak to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute Fredrik Isak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Ihazintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Degerfors IF's zone, Lino Tonete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Sandberg came out of the goal and Lino Tonete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Epifanio Ihazintu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Isak, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute.
