The supporters of Cats and dogs booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Berdoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Louineau struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Epifanio Ihazintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cats and dogs. 8 minutes into the match, Cats and dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Blai came free, but Gaétan Toullec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Congo Bongo's Ismael Lehior suffered a concussion in the 8th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Congo Bongo's Roberto Telo was substituted for Ismael Lehior. Tony Jérémie kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cats and dogs's zone, Ramiro Blai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaétan Toullec came out of the goal and Ramiro Blai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute of the match Christophe Montaigne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Epifanio Ihazintu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cats and dogs's Augustin Boulnois got a free kick in the 14th minute. Epifanio Ihazintu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christophe Montaigne in the 18th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Ramiro Blai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaétan Toullec. Cats and dogs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramiro Blai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Epifanio Ihazintu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kader Miguet, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Epifanio Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kader Miguet in the 30th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Cats and dogs's Kader Miguet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanio Ihazintu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 41st minute Kader Miguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Ihazintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play Cats and dogs's Augustin Boulnois was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Cats and dogs getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Augustin Boulnois hit a great ball. Lino Tonete's late challenge caught a Cats and dogs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Tonete helped the player get up and apologised. Lino Tonete kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Christophe Montaigne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Epifanio Ihazintu. Congo Bongo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christophe Montaigne made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Christophe Montaigne came free, but Epifanio Ihazintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epifanio Ihazintu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christophe Montaigne went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Epifanio Ihazintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christophe Montaigne in the 56th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Christophe Montaigne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Epifanio Ihazintu was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Epifanio Ihazintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christophe Montaigne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Amadeo Belmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christophe Montaigne in the 80th minute of play forced Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Epifanio Ihazintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christophe Montaigne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Belmiro. After 84 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Lino Tonete. After a rather tough play, Cats and dogs's Kader Miguet got a free kick in the 89th minute. Kader Miguet hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Christophe Montaigne struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Epifanio Ihazintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cats and dogs.
