When Sandro Galishoff fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Austria's protests and gave Sandro Galishoff a yellow card for diving instead. When Fabio Schneider came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Austria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Schneider couldn't finish the play. After 18 played minutes FC Ostroveni got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Focșa. Silviu Lung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Schneider, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandro Galishoff got free with Silviu Lung in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Austria's Marc Kronecker got a free kick in the 81st minute. Fabio Schneider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Lung having to interfere. When Ilie Enceanu came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FC Ostroveni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilie Enceanu couldn't finish the play. Rafael Riedl hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Rafael Riedl fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Austria's protests and gave Rafael Riedl a yellow card for diving instead. Many of Austria's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Austria may have spent more time on the ball, but FC Ostroveni were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
