Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Metod Mlynar took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes in the game, Anselmo Moraes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Henrich Slany having to interfere. Henrich Slany didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Slovakia's Zigmund Maliar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kiko Félix, made in the 20th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute Tomas Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Dolfos Iscar made a precise shot to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio de Lara in the 27th minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Jaime Rojelio made a precise shot to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Dadá Vianna made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Slovakia's Zigmund Maliar. In the 38th minute, Anselmo Moraes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henrich Slany. The goal made the score 4-0. Slovakia's Zigmund Maliar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kiko Félix, made in the 42nd minute of the game. Henrich Slany came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club do Recife's Jaime Rojelio. But to his dismay, Jaime Rojelio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Rojelio in the 51st minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Moraes came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Anselmo Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Anselmo Moraes took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Kornel Jahoda got a free kick in the 68th minute. Tomas Havier might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Havier ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Metod Mlynar got free with Henrique Prata in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 83 minutes of play, Sport Club do Recife's Jaime Rojelio made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrich Slany was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Havier in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrich Slany saved Slovakia from getting behind. 89 minutes into the match, Anselmo Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio de Lara in the 92nd minute of the match. There was no doubt that Sport Club do Recife were the better team. Sport Club do Recife's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
