After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Unión's zone, Issac Dawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Malewicz came out of the goal and Issac Dawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado de Toledo in the 23rd minute of the match. Artur Malewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micah Macdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Unión's Florentino Kaiet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Khalid Kennedy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Club Atlético Unión:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of England:s goal. Artur Malewicz had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Micah Macdonald's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Malewicz saved Club Atlético Unión from getting behind. Godfredo Bastia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Khalid Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of England booed when Club Atlético Unión was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Victorino Cristofor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Unión's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Cristofor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khalid Kennedy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute, Conrado de Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Khalid Kennedy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Club Atlético Unión's Gualterio Gutxi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Quinn Holmes in the 62 minute of the game. 64 minutes in the game Quinn Holmes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Caelan Hayes. In the 66th minute of the game Quinn Holmes made a throw-in which Kyle Cox played forward.
