After a defensive mix-up in AC LeX Luthor's zone, Adam Olaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Eyague came out of the goal and Adam Olaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 10th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Costica Vladimiri came free, but Fulgencio Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Zeledon Savion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carol Stinga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute Adam Olaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermenegildo Ventura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carol Stinga having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Olaru came free, but Fulgencio Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristide Ciuvică. If Alex Serban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute of the match, Aristide Ciuvică tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carol Stinga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 33rd minute AC LeX Luthor were awarded a corner. Mario Yepes went to the cornerflag to take it. Romania's Adam Olaru managed to work through AC LeX Luthor's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Adam Olaru dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Fulgencio Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Olaru in the 38th minute of play. Carol Stinga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Ciuvică, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Alex Serban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Romania's Costica Vladimiri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Romania made a substitution. Anton Stinga replaced Adam Olaru. Romania's Octavian Vaduva was substituted for Costica Vladimiri. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rasvan Cristescu got free with Fulgencio Eyague in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fulgencio Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Stinga in the 69th minute of the match. If Aristide Ciuvică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu was substituted for Alex Serban. AC LeX Luthor made a substitution. Peep Pronk replaced Aristide Ciuvică. With an all-out effort, Romania's Fulgencio Eyague threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anton Stinga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 85th minute Anton Stinga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Vaduva in the 90th minute of the match. Octavian Vaduva might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulgencio Eyague. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavian Vaduva ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to AC LeX Luthor getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Modesto Jaunzuria hit a great ball. In the 94th minute of the match Sanda Cutov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fulgencio Eyague skillfully saved the ball. In the 95th minute, Anton Stinga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fulgencio Eyague. The goal made the score 0-2.
