Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antal Valentin kicked off to start the match. Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 4th minute of play. Martin Tudor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Martin Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Antal Valentin put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Martin Tudor. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Progresul Pitesti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Progresul Pitesti's goalie and right to Takacs Tibor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Progresul Pitesti's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Takacs Tibor hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Progresul Pitesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor did a great save. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 36th minute. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Tudor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Karol Czempa hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. 44 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Martin Tudor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bakos Endre hit a great ball. If Vasile Blănaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Vasile Blănaru made the kick off in the second half. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Martin Tudor could save by the left post. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Chorache Tofiño hit a great ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Takacs Tibor hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Vintilă Marinică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Martin Tudor made a huge save. In the 64th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Progresul Pitesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Martin Tudor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 66 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Tudor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Martin Tudor made a huge save. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Tudor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Martin Tudor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Martin Tudor in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 90 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Florin Logofătu. Major Barna in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Martin Tudor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Karol Czempa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
