Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arne Back started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Back came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roar Klev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Roar Klev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match, Arne Back got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnout Reekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mountainhammer United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Lars Meesters heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 15th minute of play forced Mountainhammer United's goalkeeper Roar Klev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Mountainhammer United's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Roar Klev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roar Klev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 23rd minute of play forced Mountainhammer United's goalkeeper Roar Klev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arne Back's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Arnout Reekers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Eriksson in the 42nd minute of play. Mountainhammer United's Roar Klev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 44th minute of play. Roar Klev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roar Klev made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roar Klev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 58th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Back in the 61st minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Back in the 64th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Eriksson in the 65th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roar Klev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roar Klev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roar Klev could save by the left post. Roar Klev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roar Klev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mountainhammer United getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Torsten Sundström hit a great ball. In the 89th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roar Klev showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roar Klev made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
