Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enio Azevedo started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Sosoco FC got a freekick which was hit by Didi Senna. Jonas Nalder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Nalder to maneuver through the defense. If Sandro Galishoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabio Auer made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Edmílson Veloso sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Sosoco FC's Geovânio Oliveira got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Austria's Fabio Schneider sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giuseppe Barreto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enio Azevedo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Sosoco FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 25 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Nalder. Enio Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Enio Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Auer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Sandro Galishoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Barreto having to interfere. In the 38th minute of the match, Enio Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabio Auer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fabio Auer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmílson Veloso in the 43rd minute. Sosoco FC's Didi Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 46 minutes, Edmílson Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sosoco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmílson Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st minute, Sandro Galishoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandro Galishoff struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Giuseppe Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. Fabio Auer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Veloso in the 57th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Enio Azevedo came free, but Fabio Auer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Auer came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo. But to his dismay, Enio Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Giuseppe Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Nalder in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Sosoco FC's Giuseppe Barreto got control of the ball when Fabio Schneider tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sandro Galishoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giuseppe Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sosoco FC's Edmílson Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Austria booed when Sosoco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Austria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sosoco FC.
