The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Turgut Talha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th match minute, Club Deportivo Español was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Hug to maneuver through the defense. Turgut Talha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Turgut Talha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turgut Talha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Botello was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. Turgut Talha had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Sigfrido Auletta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 28th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Español's goalkeeper Turgut Talha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Club Deportivo Español's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. The corner ended in Siricio Liotta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Deportivo Español's Turgut Talha did a great save. Jose Abar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jose Abar sent off a good shot on target. Club Deportivo Español's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jose Sein in the 33rd minute. 38 minutes in the game Jose Sein did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tenho Sono. 39 minutes into the match, Italy's Siricio Liotta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Turgut Talha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Efrain Cordarius tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Turgut Talha. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zaccheo Andolina in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Turgut Talha saved Club Deportivo Español from getting behind. Club Deportivo Español's Turgut Talha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vacid Nefer made the kick off in the second half. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vacid Nefer in the 51st minute of play. If Vacid Nefer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jose Sein's late challenge caught a Italy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Sein helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Español's Jose Sein got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Zaccheo Andolina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Turgut Talha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vacid Nefer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Italy's Siricio Liotta got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Español's zone, Siricio Liotta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Turgut Talha came out of the goal and Siricio Liotta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Carioca made in the 74th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jose Abar. Zaccheo Andolina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Turgut Talha made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Tenho Sono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportivo Español's Anthony Bonelli was substituted for Jose Abar. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. In the 84th minute, Tenho Sono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes, Italy's Siricio Liotta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Turgut Talha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Italy reached it. The throw-in from Jose Sein in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Bonelli in the 93rd minute of the match. Turgut Talha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guiscardo Davide in the 95th minute of play. Italy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
