The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valiente Venezian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5 minutes into the game, Cercadinho's Abelardo Bertassi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Józef Wandzik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Cosmos 1984 NewDance booed when Cercadinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nando Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by Acácio de Lima. In the 18th minute Tymoteusz Rakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orest Komissarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Gerber hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Tymoteusz Rakowski came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Cosmos 1984 NewDance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tymoteusz Rakowski couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Cercadinho's goal looked a bit too open when Remigiusz Barys came free, but Orest Komissarov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Tymoteusz Rakowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orest Komissarov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Cercadinho defense, Milosz Ikalewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orest Komissarov. The Cercadinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orest Komissarov should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Abelardo Bertassi made the kick off in the second half. Przemyslaw Przybylo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Orest Komissarov made a huge save. When Milosz Ikalewicz came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Cosmos 1984 NewDance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milosz Ikalewicz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Cercadinho's Nando Matorin got a free kick in the 54th minute. Pankracy Chlapowski kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Milosz Ikalewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Orest Komissarov made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Enrique Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Zbyszko Walkowski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cercadinho. Tymoteusz Rakowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Orest Komissarov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tymoteusz Rakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Józef Wandzik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Olgierd Prusek was substituted for Radoslaw Starogardzki. In the 79th minute Cercadinho were awarded a corner. Edmundo Aparecido went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Valiente Venezian managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 81 minutes into the game, Pankracy Chlapowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cercadinho's Luís Fernando Queiroz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cercadinho's Orest Komissarov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Cercadinho from getting a goal against them. Nando Matorin struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Józef Wandzik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cercadinho. A collision led to Cosmos 1984 NewDance getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Iwan Zahemski hit a great ball. Cercadinho's Valiente Venezian got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Cosmos 1984 NewDance failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
