When Venancio Lop came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Basavilbaso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Lop couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Basavilbaso FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The Basavilbaso FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. G.D Vitória de Sernache were winning 1-4.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clemente Rubio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orvar Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Frasco in the 50th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dionisio Frasco in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orvar Bäckström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But to his dismay, Dionisio Frasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-7. 87 minutes into the match, Dionisio Frasco notched a goal, 3-8, to the right of Basavilbaso FC's Orvar Bäckström. Orvar Bäckström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Dionisio Frasco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Orvar Bäckström. That made the score 3-9 in the 89 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched G.D Vitória de Sernache eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
