After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Torgny Arvidsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Torgny Arvidsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Gustav Ahlrot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustav Ahlrot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Gar Pike, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gar Pike quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Djurgården IF's Gar Pike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 28th minute of play. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gar Pike having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gar Pike made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Gar Pike took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes Djurgården IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Hungary's Antal Valentin to fire away a dangerous shot which Gar Pike despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Gar Pike, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Lindkvist in the 42nd minute of play. Arvin Ljungberg charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arvin Ljungberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Djurgården IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Dinnes to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. Takacs Tibor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gar Pike tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Takacs Tibor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Gar Pike, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Lindkvist in the 59th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gar Pike could save by the left post. A nice corner shot did that Vörös Henrik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gar Pike quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 65th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Djurgården IF's Gar Pike got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Gar Pike, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Gar Pike had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Gar Pike was a little too slow when Major Barna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-2. With his leg Gar Pike managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 88 minutes Djurgården IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Antal Valentins short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Gar Pike to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 92 minutes into the match, Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Gar Pike had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
